I am curious as to how long you guys go between oil changed? We, myself and an E Prod driver, change oil every 8 heat cycles.
We have always used 20w/50 mineral or 15w/50 synthetic wt oils...
Nice - should be a good car. Hopefully there will be more cars in the class as it catches on. I expect to see allot of Honda with Acura engines in the future.
If I do another car it will...
Glad to help....you'll like having rear disk brakes. It does make a difference.
My STU project is going slow but I knew it would because I am changing....well...everything. My goal is to...
You had drum brakes??? No wonder you had braking issues!
What year is the Disk Brake rear end?
This matters because there are differences between the rear axle housing and drive shaft...
One more reason, beyond all of the excellent ones that have already been given, is that "brake dust" has a lot of cast iron dust in it from the rotors. If you add water to this you'll have rust...
There are 3 RX7's running STU in National races in MiDiv. Two us are ITA cars and the other is an 85 GLS-SE ITS car. The ITS car actually won the Division in STU and finished 2nd in the MidAm...
Googled - found this article about the interchange options for Sportage gear sets.

Seems like $300-500 is the going rate for a running 12A on the RX7Club web site. If you can verify the mileage and the condition of the aluminum housings (no flaking) maybe more than that.
I...

I have purchased both their 80mm chrome racing studs and their 75mm Hardened racing studs. I bought the chrome studs in 2007 and they...
When V8 cars in ITR was originally proposed the subject came up at our region's race group meeting. The AS drivers were really against the idea. They saw this as cutting into their numbers....and...
Disclaimer....I'm not sure I would consider building a V8 ITR car but I asked the question because I am curious about how weight was determined. Not sure I appreciate you cheeky answer...but it is...
What is the logic behind the weight differences between the 94-95 Mustang (SN95) and the 89-93 Mustang (FOX)? The FOX has a disk/drum brake settup, is narrower (harder to fit wide tires), and has...
This is what one of the cars that had a failure is being changed over too. Got it from Peasus.
I'm guessing that unless you speak Chinese this would be a short conversation.
The failures that I most familar with have occured on 3 1st gen Mazda RX7's using OE alternators. These are internally regulated alternators
All of the failures that happened on the track had...
Over the last several years I have seen allot of Battery Disconnect switches fail for KC area racers. Everyone of the failed units has been from Longarce - 4 post for battery and alternator. ...
Bite the bullet and use stainless. Last year I had an AeroQuip -10 push lock hose come off of an AeroQuip -10 fitting on my oil cooler. The result was a siezed engine. I followed all of the...

They specialize in circle track but I was able to get numbers and class letters for my IT car with no issues. The were extremely quick with my order and have a great...

Hey guys this looks like a really cool event. A Super School and a Double...
Unfortunately this idea only worked for a little while. Originally there were some really cheap options for classes that ran tread wear limited tires. However several manufacturers starting...
Keep an eye out for Blue Flags!
Yea....thats the problem with STU - it is in the big bore group. I'd like to see it in the SM- SSS-T3 group. STU would fit better there because of the DOT...
I can't make the Hallet race. I am looking at running the MAM race later that month. There should be several people you can talk to about this at Hallet, however. Look up David Long - EP #82. He was...
I guess I don't understand the issues being described because I haven't cracked a rotor in 7 years of using Hawk Blue's front and rear. I have also never experienced any brake fade. My car...
Several of us in Midiv IT7 run the V710's - 215x50x13. We are getting 8-10 heat cycles from them with good grip until the tread is completely gone. Not exactly the life I would like to have but I...
