BMW 1600 Question

I am in the process of building an ITB Rabbit and also have a 1967 1600- I was considering building it to an ITC for my wife , but on the SCCA web page it shows the 1600 as 68-71 is this the age range that is allowable for 1600 ITC or is my 67 actually a 68 model year ?

The minimum age for all IT cars is '68... I seem to remember that the first year for the 1600 was 65 or 66...

1600's are good cars for racing Vintage Historic, I would encourage you to look in that direction.
