If removing the sunroof can the OEM (sunroof) roof skin be removed, and a OEM (non-sunroof) roof skin be installed in it's place?
Cars that have a hatch, are cf hatches legal?

STL rules state, "...may replace the hood and trunk/deck lid with nonmetallic composite parts." I suggest hatches are well within the spirit of that rule, but I can see the confusion. Hell, I am planning on doing a CF hatch on my Integra and hadn't really given it a second thought! How about you submit a request for clarification immediately (the next STAC meeting is tomorrow night) and we get that clarified...?Quote:

Another question, is gear size free (as in aftermarket) or do they have to be OE size?
If they have to be OE can gear size be mixed and matched from different model transmissions?

As a clarification to that though, you can't take a 5th gear from an Accord tranny and stick it into a Civic tranny or whatever (only cause I don't know the Honda engine codes well) to mix & match ratios.
i.e. the Nissan KA24 engine was used in a bunch of Nissans. the 240SX has a 0.83:1 overdrive. The Hardbody truck used the same engine but the overdrive is 0.90:1
In Prod and STU, they tend to take the 0.90 gear from the Hardbody and install it in their 240SX transmission. Can't do that in STL since you would have to swap the entire guts.
That said, if the rest of the ratios are the same for that tranny (or more desirable), you could swap the entire guts from the hardbody tranny into the 240SX tranny and be okay.

Another question. Is this legal to do for nascar bars, where the door is notched a little.

I don't know what you mean by "notched", but Super Touring follows GCR 9.4, which allows gutting of the door for NASCAR-type bars. - GAQuote:

A fair question. To the "letter" of the rules, it's debatable; some folks take the position that any "reasonable" mod is allowed for rollcages. To the "spirit" of the Super Touring rules - given no limit to attach points and seam welding on the chassis - I'd say it's OK.
My recommendation is to talk to the local inspector that will be issuing the logbook and get their opinion. - GA

Ok more cage questions. Not an ideal looking cage to me but would this be legal in STL.
Specifically looking at the roof hoop, A pillar down bars, and the extra bar coming of the main hoop to the floor.

STL does not have a limit to the number of attachment points for the rollcage (Improved Touring does) so as long as the cage meets GCR specs you're good. Review the GCR for the front hoop allowance (it's there, I just don't know it by heart.) - GA
On edit: on first glance it will definitely need a diagonal in the main hoop plane and more door bars, but I think the general idea is OK -- read the GCR to make sure.

What about the piece of sheet metal behind the fuel cell that replaced the floor. Is that legal?
repalced as in it's welded in place where the spare well USED TO BE or it's just there (welded or whatever) covering the spare well.
case A is not legal. case B is legal.
