I don't do this often but....

In the course of updating some details on my Golf's suspension, I ended up getting some parts from 247-parts.com. Well I guess I didn't just 'end-up' talking to them - they have started supporting my buddy Chuck Mathis with his G-Prod Rabbit, so I figured I would give them a shout first.

Regardless, I was just really impressed. It is a combination of the typical online parts store that we all go to for oem parts so necessary for IT racing, but they also have things like rear camber shims, delerin and spherical bearing kits, hard bushings for the A2 front cross member and the like.

They took the time to make sure that I had everything I needed, and engaged in a little bench racing too. They never gave me the 'I'm really busy and gotta go' line. The guy that runs the place apparently races an ITS Corrado, and is quite a VW fan.

Anyhow - It was a good experience so I figured I would post something up. :happy204:

I'd second that.

We use their rear stub axle shims, lower cross member bushings, and now - with the TACK weld allowance in the books...

Tchh tcch tchh....the term is "tack weld" not "spot weld". Please return the nerd cap for a probationary period...

Sorry - you are right that the picture clearly shows tack welds, rather than "spot" welds. Thanks for confirming that they meet the rule. I'll get better with my use of the correct terms - you big lot of NERDS.

In the interest of accuracy, the pieces that are tack-welded to the arms are the outermost component of replacement bushings, allowed per 17.1.4.D.5.d.6.
