Can't give you the guidance you need as far as signing up for the event itself, but do note that the test day signup can be done at the track without a penalty (at least it has in the past).
Last year when it rained all morning on test day, I was glad I hadn't paid for a full day ahead of time. :023:
Jarrod
And they sell in half day increments, so it was a waiting game.
Any idea what it costs? (practice day)
Normally $200 for all day...cheap.
Last year you could run 4 one hour (I think they were) sessions for $200. You could break it down to $50/session though. I left Columbus Wednesday evening, drove to just short of the Atlanta area, slept in a rest area, and then drove into the track Thursday morning. I got into the track, registered, unloaded, and was able to run the two afternoon sessions for $100. It worked out great since the morning sessions were a little damp.Quote:

I think the sessions were only 1/2 hr. Alternating open and closed wheel. I think there were 4 in the afternoon and 4 in the morning. I don't remember exactly. Didn't make it last year and a lot has happened in my brain since two years ago.
Is it possible for someone from the Atlanta Region to post at least some general idea of each day's activities so we can plan accomodations? On what days are the sprint races, the enduros, and qualifying for each? Thanks.
Here is what I think the schedule will be:Quote:

Saturday: All ARRC championship races.

Check it all out at...
ARRC Online
I will be there crewing for #11 CFC or CC (Club Continental) as the ARRC likes to call it. Hope to see some of you guys.
Sorry, but I just noticed the Schedule links are not functional yet.
Just curious, why is there a a 2.5 hr quiet time?
From what I've been told there is a church nearby.
Welcome to the south .... yeeeeeeeeee haw! :P
Its a suthern thing.
Some people seem to think God doesn't like race car noises. I tend to disagree.
Anyway, yes, its a local ordinance.
I think Lowes is actually the worst. No race motors before noon on Sunday last time I checked.
More of a reason to move the ARRC to Mid Ohio next year! There's no sound ordinances here! I guess the amish don't mind.
We have a nice and long, full week becoming available in mid-September too.
Limerock takes it all. No racing on Sunday, period. And no race motors before 9 on saturdays.Quote:

soooo...
when does registration open?
I thought I read here that the ARRC site would be ready for business sometime this week. I'd like to do the test day.
I was told I would have schedule info this week and we'll see. As far as registration I can't help anyone here with when to expect it. When I get the info, you'll find the info on the website.Quote:

If anyone is interested in a test day prior to the ARRC, contact Road Atlanta for information. The Atlanta Region SCCA has nothing to do with the test day.
It appears the ARRC event is sanctioned. I decided to hang up my "hoops" coaching sneaks for a season and finally come down to RA for this event. Been wanting to run with the big boys for several years but basketball deterred me. If we survive the NARRC-OFFS we will be there.
So how do you register again???? I' m just not finding the registration form/link.
Haven't raced much this year so I am looking foward to this event.
