I have been since told that if you have mismatched tires, to make them different side to side, not front to back. I didn't try it, just bought new tires, but it seems to make sense.

Jason - this was with the better tires on the rear? If that's so, it would be exactly opposite of what I was thinking (and probably therefore 100% logical); I would have expected to pick up a bad understeer in that situation. Hmmm....guess that's not something I want to try for the Sat qualifying session, huh?
