Posted over on the Sandbox but know some of you don't make it over there. You're smart! :)

For several years I've been wanting to make the trip down to Road Atlanta to do the ARRC. Especially with the Runoffs being on the west coast, maybe there will be more motivation for people to attend the ARRC. Would be great to make it what it once was. As my new Kessler motor is coming together, tGA transmission being repaired by Bone, maybe this is the year? tGA, Wreckerboy and myself started talking about making it a go.

Who else is putting this event on their radar? Any other northern boys / gals want to make the treck down for the ARRC?

You got me curious. Being held on Labor Day weekend in August. Too hard to pass up the Summit Labor day event.

I have never been to ARRC or racing anywhere south of NJMP. Wife is working weekends now, I am not racing NARRC this year, maybe a 3 weekends at best, so... perhaps it's time to go down to ARRC and see what the little ITA civic has in store where the ITA Miata reigns supreme.

Mickey, give some consideration to Summit Labor Day. One of my all-time favorite events.

*with grain of salt* I didn't race in the ARRC last year, but I was there with Trans Am as a worker. For me, interfacing with the workers, the event was nothing more than a regular old regional race. ITA was a decent battle last year (and there was a Honda or two near the front), but the rest of the classes in the grouping was kinda of a bust.
All that said, Road Atlanta is crazy with almost all blind corners. I want to drive it!
The other nice thing is if you don't do the enduro, you probably could have all Sunday to get back home.

They should revive "the Blue and the Gray" at Summit and make it IT only.
It might just work given it's central location and the natural rivalry.
