I'm in the process of changing my IT-B Pinto over to a hill climb racer. I just bought 6 Hankook 225/45/13 C50 tires and I would like to know if they have any thing I should know to run them. Wheels are 13X7" and the car weighs 2375 lbs with a locked rear end. Tire pressure to start with? Thanks and come see me at the "tail of the dragon"

Weather dependent, but 29 all around is a fair starting point.

I shoot for 38 hot, but I'm also in a heavier (2700) rwd ITA car, running 225/15s, so I'm not sure my setup is going to help you. I start with 31-33 psi cold (staggered) to get there.

Do you have experience with Hoosiers? I found the pressures and gain to be comparable. We did not see a need to change anything significantly when we ran Hankooks (except for significant amount of investment in buying all we can find in March because they constantly ran out of tires mid-way through the season...)

For what it is worth, I aim for 38 all around hot. Lower feels better to me but is slower. Higher feels better and is slower.

Although it is possible I'm just slower. :)

same here. 38 hot all around on an e30 325 and a 2002 ( model, not year!).
