What regions, if any, are thinking about scheduling events at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green? I know that the Tennessee Region is one of the closest, but they are only interested in Solo. Same goes for the Kentucky Region, I think. The track is shooting for opening this summer I think, so that may be too late for 2014. Whose schedules do I need to be checking?

Technically, within SCCA the track is "owned" by whatever geographical region it exists. Use this to find it:

Well, technically, the track is "owned" by Kentucky Region, but I believe they only do Solo events. The Tennessee Region "owned" Nashville Super Speedway when it was still in business, but all of the races there were put on by Atlanta Region, Tennessee Valley (Huntsville) Region, and maybe Chattanooga or Alabama, because Tennessee only does Solo events as well.

I talked to Mitch Wright (NCM Motorsports Park GM) at PRI and he said he's been talking to Kentucky and Cincinnati Regions about conducting road racing events there. He's also been in contact with Steve Harris, Area 4 (GLDiv) Director. They expect to be operational late in 2014.

You and me both Dave! An SCCA race less than 5 miles from my house would be insane! I've been watching the progress every day from work (Corvette) and the anticipation is killing me!
