I just saw this post in the ITR SCCA facebook group and I think it may be the first ever Chevy in ITR! It got me thinking how many cars to we now have here in the northeast? how about the rest of the country?

Copy/paste the list below and add in car numbers, make/model, Driver, and location!

1.) 50, Mazda RX8, Stephen Blethen, NorthEast
2.)
3.)
4.)
5.)
6.)
7.)
ect...

I will add others that I know when I get more time. Off to continue to enjoy what is probably the last day this year in the 70's!

We've had 24 different people enter ITR races this year in SEDiv (15 or 16 from Florida, 7 or 8 elsewhere). Just off the top of my head I can remember several BMW 325s and a couple Z3s, Porsche 911, three or four 944s and 968s, a 300ZX, an RX8 and a Supra. The complete list is on the SEDiv website under SARRC points (names only). I can dig out the cars for each driver if someone really wants it.

I may start racing 2014. I will do some testing next summer to judge how competitive the car can be at different tracks with full suspension and basic motor work. No cage and extra weight though. Then if it looks like the car can be a front runner, i will gut and cage and hope for the best.
My major hesitation right now is the car count. I enjoy the large spec miata fields I am in, but I am starting to get bored of the spec class, and would like the diversity of the itr cars.

Where are you Kevin? We get some big fields around here. Hoing to see us hit 20 cars in one race next year!

I looked at every result in the northeast. 3-7 cars seems to be the norm. Fields appear bigger sometimes because of the ITS cars.

Looks like 11 was the largest field this past year at the Glen . Looks like about 30 cars here in the northeast so a 20 car field is certainly possible! I hope we can make it happen since racing is certainly a lot more fun than lapping :) Since the glen region is the hot spot maybe we should all start planning know!

The rest of the country doesn't include the west coast?

Oh yeah, that's right, all of the ITR cars I know of in California are no longer actively running in ITR. We had 4 cars here in SFR, at least two in SoCal, and I've heard of a couple in the Seattle area.

Actually, we were at one time up to three in So-Pac. But we don't count because I went to STU, Bryan Lampe has decided to go back to rowing/Crew, and John Norris will be running in E-Prod.

'Zackly. Hasn't he had that car for, like, two "seasons" now? Isn't that a freakin' Benspeed Automotive ADD freakin' record...?

I have a 1999 Z3 Coupe. I tried to run it once this year but the engine blew up. I hope to have it ready for 2013.

I am hoping to have the sister car to Stephens RX-8 done mid summer (not as much go fast parts but still quick)... It will be a fun car and should be available for those that want to try out ITR before making the investment!

The Jerk at NJMP saw Dylan Murcott who was super competitive in the TreadZone Pro IT this year with an SM drive an S2000 to the ITR win (over Ben with his 25 cycle tires). If they feel that the S2000 can be competitive for 45 minutes that may try Pro IT next year.

Also at NJMP we had a couple of 944 Super Cup cars successfully cross over to ITR.

We had just put a junkyard motor in it for that race. He is a killer wheel-mail...just not sure it can make the power needed.

Just bought this a month ago from my dad. He bought it to flip it since it needed an engine. We built him a real engine for his Boxster and put the engine from his into it. Already have the hard top for it. It will be a long build process over the next year as it will be my daily driver for that time. I while be getting parts up for during that time.

Just bought a 2.8L Z3 to start building an ITR car for the southeast division. Ran an FP Miata and am looking to return to IT and get more track time.

This will take a bit. Have a lot to learn about the Z3.

Ricky THompson in Goldsboro runs one, very successfully. Google R&R Body Shop in Goldsboro and you'll find it. Give him a ring.
