i wanted to be there , but kent wants to go to the arrc.only one more for this year. so i went drag racing. i now have a steering wheel to hold on to doing that !! my first love !! i did miss not being there. ralph

Great race. Due to a flurry of mechanicals, I hadn't won since May at VIR and needed tow in the SIC to win the championship. Chuck needed to finish ahead of me. We also had Brian M. up from Florida lurking in case either of us slipped back.

I had some transponder issues in qual and that killed my chance at the pole. I qualled 4th and got to Chuck's door at teh start, but that was it. Mike, Chuck and myself stayed within 100 yards of each other the whole race adn it was hard fought, but we finished that way.

Chuck got a well-deserved championship, Mike got the SIC win and I got 2nd place in points.

It was a very competitve field, probably the most in a while. 5 cars in the 22s in teh race in the heat of teh afternoon.

C'mon down to the ARRC. Ron and I will be there. 12 ITS cars already signed up.
