Hi. My first IT sports Racer is the small 1600cc class. The other class is 2750cc or less, any fwd car listed in the IT List, it's drivetrain, with Mata Front Suspension. The cars must use my chassis center section or you may build the center to specs. It's 1 1/2" dom. 095 tube, it must be exact, then you build the car out. I will offer a few pre fabbed parts and anyone can offer parts or complete welded chassis, even a turn key. I will be at Searing Saturday. For the 2hour enduro. I only want to run the sports racers in the enduro races. See connerSR.com for more info. Im in the Florida. Area the first car will be ready in February it has a Honda Civic EX 1600cc. Btw, the class has open aero like a sports racer. I'll. Have pics soon the web site is a month behind. Thanks Craig

Is there another IT category I don't know about?

no, there's a cockpit and some bodywork for sale by Craig Conner (xmann) who would liek to see it turn into a spec chassis front half / FWD IT motor/trans/etc... rear half class as he describes in his post and website.

I think it would run regional ASR (or equivalent) or maybe CSR depending on engine and assuming it meets the SRCS rules, until there are enoguh to make it worth investigating class status.

Craig's been working on this concept for a long time - see the back pages of sportscar for the past 3+ years. interesting concept but yet another new class, etc...

Looks like mini-Daytona Prototypes with IT guts.

$9,000 bucks for a sports racer?

If he could really pull that off he would certainly gain the interest of a lot of budget racers. Myself included.
