Aug 4-5 at AMP Cancelled

Tonight it was voted unanimously by a quorum of the Atlanta Region Board of Directors to cancel our August 4-5 event(s) at Atlanta Motorsports Park.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to those that planned to attend.

Will anything be added in its place?

What was the reasoning if I may ask? Was sound an issue for any of the TT cars when you all ran there?

Their "new & improved" sound guidelines (brought about by multiple cars being deemed too loud at the TT event) plus the track is not yet approved W2W racing. We looked at changing it to a PDX event but concensus is the AR PDX program is not yet mature enough to support a two-day event (plus NASA is running at Road Atlanta that weekend, further diluting the participant pool).

For those that really had their hearts set on running there, www.TrackGuys.com (http://www.TrackGuys.com) is there June 30 - July 1.
