My ITA has a custom header/exhaust it came with when I bought it. It is not a problem where I have been racing to date but am sure it will be to loud at some tracks.
Any ideas on mufflers that will work without to much penalty.

This is the one I use. It needs flanges welded onto it before you can use it.

Lo-Bak Mufflers,Moroso Spiral Core Mufflers, both the same. Running them for years, quiets down a rotary alot and dosent seam to kill the power.

Available thru Capital Motorsports Warehouse or Summit and Jegs Speedway, etc

We use ultraflo muffler. We put a tip on the end to point the sound down to the ground and have not had any issues.

Had to bring this post back up... Just bought a 1st Gen IT7 car. It currently has a RB header, going to two pipes merging to the muffler. I had an UltraFlo on my '90 ITS RX-7 but don't know the model number. I'd like to pick another one up. Can anyone tell me what the right size or model # is for my car.

On the ITS car, we had a 90* adjustable elbow on the end to direct the sound. Never an issue there either.

The 30 dollar muffler at Auto Zone works great. Sounds loud on the paddock but quiets right down to a buzz at speed. I know I did not believe it either.
