August 20 we'll be under the lights for the Carolina Cup Pro Series, and a whole lot more for an entire weekend of fun.

And, Garages(we have 96) are only $100 for the weekend, max 2 cars per...and most come with a parking space to handle your Nascar size rig, note the 24 small parking spaces are only 50' long

What's up with the garage registration? Nothing on dlb yet, is that where it will be up

It's semi-up. There is ifnormation about the garages but I don't see anyway to register.

Also, look at the track map! New stuff! There is a chicane after Turn 3b before the up hill righthander.

Will open at 7 am tomorrow 8/4/11

Still no answer about a test day from the speedway.

Map shows the motorcycle chicane, we will not use it.

Jeff, where can I find the track map???

It's on dlbracing with the track info.

Better off just watching some vid though. Search "charlotte" and "NASA" and you get some great SpecE30 vid -- comparable to us. Search "charlotte" and "SCCA" and you get some grainy footage from 1993 of some crapwagons attempting laps at Charlotte.

Garages you just pick rental from class pull down and choose a space. 2 - 47 is cup garage and 50 - 95 are Nationwide which is close to grid. Grid will actually be in the parking on the right side of garage as you look from pit road. Map is the download posted on registration.

If you just have an open trailer or only need 50' of parking outside your garage please use the 72-95 spots that are on grid side and leave the 100 ft spaces for those that need them.

Forgot to mention, Jeff you are welcome to use the chicane if you want.:p

Does it require brakes?

I'm a dumb ass. How do I get to garages? I'm already registered and when I edit my registration I don't see a "Class" pulldown nor can I change my race selections as that is greyed out. I've already paid online if that makes a difference.

Are we really going to use that chicane between 3&4???. If so, I'll have to get out my off-road set up. Maybe some of my son's Jeep parts cluttering up the garage will finally be useful.

To rent garages you have to go to the DBL calendar and select what is essentially another event that is renting garages for the race.

No chicane Russ.

Just uploaded a new map of garages with numbers so it is easier to see location. They are going fast so if you want one get them now.

If you can print the confirming email on your garage rental and bring it to registration it would be helpful.

Thanks,

We'll be having a Fellowship Service Sunday morning at 10:30 in or near my garage, NASCAR #4. All are welcome! :)

There's still time to register and get a garage(only $100) for the weekend.

We plan to be at the track by 3:00pm on Friday so we can get people in and parked starting at 5:00pm. We will try for a little earlier, but no promise. Either way everyone will enter from the back of the track through the turn 3 tunnel. See everyone there.

Seriously, glad you could make it down and look forward to racing with you.

At CMS that is not the case. Look for Kent Thompson, Jeff Y, and a few others to be faster. I have the wrong gear in the car and no time to change. Not running for points this year so just getting a race in so I can run the new car at the SIC. Then you will be correct.:023:

Mr. Eckerich is too modest.

At least four of the 12 cars can win: Kent, Steve E., Steve P. and me. A few other regulars have not signed up yet who could as well: Chuck, David Spillman, etc. Mark Gray has been coming on strong lately, and Ron Munnerlyn is a new car that has been fast as well.

Should be a good race.

Bottom line is all the cars can win. No way to know how the race weekend will go with racing situations and unexpected things happening. The ITS SARRCs should be a fun races and I look forward to watching them.

So Steve are you saying that the 4:88 in my car is the gear to have at CMS? I hope so:happy204:

I have 5 seperate final drives I run in the RX7, but the 4.88 should have you in the sweet spot for most of the track.

Yup, Wish I could be there to race or watch the "S" cars this weekend. Have fun guys and be sure to post updates.

Hope you can make it to Barber.
