Life keeps getting in the way of my racing habit. So Im hoping and scheduling far enough in advance that I hope MAM in August will work. My question is how bad was the flooding up there? Will the track be ready and opened back up any time soon?

I looked on their webpage but it had no new announcements, which I took as a bad sign. Normally they have friday lapping and stuff going on all the time.

Any info would be appreiciated!

The track was part of a mandantory evacuation a couple of weeks ago, all the roads in that area are/were underwater. The latest I've heard is that MAM is hopeless for the rest of the year, so they're trying to move the double national (and double IT Tour) event to Hastings.

Thanks Gary.

After seeing pics of the JD dealership right up the road that had built berms all around it I was really worried for MAM.

So does that mean two Hastings events this year? Aug and Oct?

That's the way I understand it. But I got that August race info second-hand, so I'm not positive it will actually happen that way. The October race date should be firm though, as it's been on the schedule since the get-go, and it is the triple points weekend for the Mid-Am championship.

This thread has the most current pictures as of July 7th. http://nrscca.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2485

The conversation about the possibility of moving the Aug event to Hastings and what is holding that up is in the link below.

Better start your plans early and come to Topeka next weekend. Kim McDonnald needs you and another ITE in class. Top three in class get money back from their entry!

Damn, that sounds awesome but no way I can make it, just too much going on besides racing.

I threw the car together for the MAM school, fixed what had to be fixed before HPT and now I'm redoing several things like I had planned from the start.

New hood -20lbs 'bout time I use it, been in my garage for four years now.

New numbers #28 no more duct tape #28 My wife likes the round Le Mans style numbers so we'll see what I come up with.

The exhaust is dumped which on an IRS mustang is bad, new exhaust is going to be slick.

Corner weighting and bumpsteering all four corners.

I also have a fire system and accusump that needs to be installed.

It sucks I know and I couldve raced the car as is but its not right.
