Just a note to let y'all know registration is now open for our July 15-17 Double SARRC/Double Pro-IT/ECR/PDX weekend at Road Atlanta. Links to the Supps, Schedule, and online registration can be found at www.AtlantaSCCA.org (http://www.AtlantaSCCA.org).

Funds are not deposited until after the event and we issue automatic refunds for no-shows, so signing up early carries no penalty and improves your chances of getting your requested car number.

See you at the track...

I saw in the supps you can rent a transponder from someone there, does anyone here know how much that is? I'll call them tomorrow.

Trackside Tim comes to all our events and has transponders to rent. I believe they're around $50 for the weekend but you'd want to contact them to check (and make a reservation): http://www.tracksidetim.com/

Now that the Double/Double at Roebling has concluded the next event on the SARRC calendar is the Double SARRC/Double Pro-IT/ECR/PDX weekend Julyt 15-17 at Road Atlanta. We HAVE requested 75 degree / 20% humidity weather for the weekend, but the supplier has indicated there's a good chance it will be back-ordered. <g>

Info on Friday's test day (conducted by Road Atlanta) can be found at: http://roadatlanta.com/ev_scca/2011-JulyTestSchedule.pdf

As always for our Road Atlanta events, no-shows receive a full refund so you should go ahead and sign up if you think there's even the slightest chance you'll make it. This is also the last chance to run with SCCA at Road Atlanta before the ARRC by GRM in November (for those that like to plan ahead).

We will continue to have Live T&S and we're also looking at adding the track announcer to that feed. If it happens the link will be off the Live T&S link on the region website.

For more info and to register, please visit: http://www.AtlantaSCCA.org

See y'all at the track...

At 4:00 on Tuesday (7/12) I got a call from Road Atlanta saying they had mistakenly double-booked the track on Thursday. As a result we will not be able to move into the Upper Paddock until 8 PM and the Skid Pad / Lower Paddock will not be available until 9 PM. The front gate will remain open for Move-In until 10 PM. Registration for both the Test Day and SCCA functions will still open at 5 PM and will remain open until at least 8 PM. The rest of the weekend schedule is unchanged.

We will be sending an e-mail blast to everyone currently registered, notices have been posted on both the track's and region's websites, and I'll be posting this on multiple forums as well.

The track and Atlanta Region SCCA profusely apologize for the inconvenience.
