m52tu vs m54

What is the different between the 2.5l m52tu and the 2.5l m54 engine? Is one stronger than the other....I'm guess there is since one is in ITS and the other is in ITR but at much different weights.

The head is the same, don't know about the cams, but the intake manifold is different. As a matter of fact the maifold can be swapped for a decent hp gain.

Same cams.

But yeah, different intake manifold, different pistons, throttle-by-wire, a few other changes. The M54 has a 26hp increase and broader torque curve.
