I know it's a stupid question but I have to ask anyway.

Anyone have any decent 12a rotor housings that they'd like to sell me? I need one to put my race motor back together.

Two pretty exciting developments in rotor housing reconditioning are going on right now. One has actually been around a while, and has shown some good results. The other is still in the early stages.

Goopy Performance, http://www.goopyperformance.com/ , have been refinishing used housings with a grinding process for several years. This is a process that works great for used housings with normal wear and no chrome flaking. Not real expensive at $125/housing.

The other new option is NRS re-chrome process. This is not the JHB cermet coating. NRS is still working in the prototype stage, but the work looks promising. They've had some housings running around in turbo street cars for quite a while and just recently started accepting some beta testers. This is most likely what the 12A crowd would be interested in as the stock chrome is ground out, down to the steel liner, and then reapplied. Since the original 12A and early 13B chrome flakes so easily, this is process that can bring trashed housings back to life in better than new condition. Great news since some of the parts are NLA. http://www.nrsrotorsports.com/
