I know it would depend on a lot of different factors (size of car, how many tubes used, etc), but I was just wondering how much a typical SCCA cage for an IT type car weights?

Just a ball park is fine, thanks.

~150 pounds? 1.75x.095 DOM is about 1-3/4 pounds per foot. Get out a tape and do some rough measurements, see what you come up with.

Don't forget the weight of the mounting plates.

I think mine weighs around 130 lbs, but can't be sure. I've got a basic IT cage, nothing fancy...

You can find per-foot weights of steel tubing in various sizes online, do some measuring, and get pretty close. I figured mine out but it was a long time ago and we put in a bunch of extra tubing.

Roll cage weight = tubing wt/ft * length of tubing used + mounting plate wt + welding wire used.
