Anybody been on the newly-expanded GingerMan Raceway? The track length was increased by 3/10-mi. to make the back straight longer. That 3/10-mi. has to include a longer approach to Turn 10, which precedes the back straight, so the straight cannot be that much longer. Is this supposed to make the track significantly more raceable?

Chris: The track extension had not been approved by SCCA the last time I was up there which was in the middle of July.

Hmmm. There are construction pictures at the track's website along with a note that the track has been lengthened.

They need to put in something resembling a true passing straightaway. W/o it, GingerMan is just a glorified go-kart track...
