Can anyone recommend a mechanic that is good with older z-cars. Someone is asking me for recommendations. He wants some exhaust manifold gasket work on his street Z. I know there are still guys/mechanics racing the older zs in the area. He's north of Alpharetta, if that helps, but will go anywhere. Thanks

John Williams? I think his shop is near the Sunbelt shop.

John Williams at 730 N. Price Road in Sugar Hill, GA 30518. His phone number is 770-806-2926. He knows old Z-cars up, down and sideways. He did the engine and transmission work for Tim Suddard's 240Z restoration (Editor of Grassroots Motorsports and Classic Motorsports magazines; restoration was featured in a series of articles in Classic Motorsports magazine, I think).

Thanks Dave. How goes the build? You going to be at ZCON?

Morning, Paul. Well, the race car build is getting back on track. I'm trying to do a little every night after work. As far as Z-Con, I just pulled the gas tank out of the street car and am having it cleaned and lined at a local radiator shop. The guy told me 2-3 weeks before I get it back, so we'll see if it gets back in time for me to take the car to Z-Con. Are you coming up for Z-Con?

Yeah, I hope to be there Friday or Saturday. I have to travel for work on Sunday or I would have volunteered for track day duties. :)

I'll probably see you there. Give me a call when you get to town.

Dave,
you think John knows as much about injected zx motors? I have some questions for him.
