The Northern New Jersey and South Jersey regions will be conducting a MARRS - NJRRS championship series event at New Jersey Motorsports Park. This event is the Third Annual Lightning Challenge regional races on the Lightning course on 10-11 July. Last year, this event featured a large entry and close, competitive racing. We are looking forward to a repeat this year.

The Lightning Challenge will be the first leg of the Jersey Trifecta. For 2010, the Jersey Racing Board has announced that any competitor who enters the Third Annual Lightning Challenge in July and the Summer Thunder MARRS-NARRC regional on Thunderbolt in August will be eligible for a $100 rebate from the JRB by entering the Jersey Road Race Classic in October. Same driver, no restriction on car / class

There will be a separate SCCA Test Day on Friday, 9 July on Lightning.

Online registration is now open at on the DLB (http://www.dlbracing.com/) site - Select South Jersey Region or Northeast Division as the Club to see the event calender.

Great race Ben, congrats! Out front was clearly the best place to be in a race as crazy as this one was. The intensity was turned up a few notches over what I was used to, still not sure if I had a clean fast lap all race long. That was some good, hard, racing.

Must have been an entertaining race to watch with 15 ITS cars out there. It was a pleasure to meet all of the ITS guys who cam up from Summit Point to help make it a nice large field. I made some new friends this weekend and hope they all come back in August for the regional on T-bolt.

That was a great ITS field, as well as the ITR and ITB.

With the quality of drivers we had it felt like a Pro IT race. In August it would be great to have everyone run the Pro IT then the week later run the MARRS/NARRC/NJRRS regional. Wishful thinking on my part.

Be nice if we can leave our trailers at NJMP during the week between the Pro IT and the regional. We will have to see if we can make that happen.

That was great racing - hope the car was OK - heard you parked it towards the end of the race.

The Glenn will be awesome - I hear Nick Leverone will be debuting the Steve Ulfelder Flatout S2000. Should be a great field.

Doc Brault will be there too! Looking forward to racing with him and all the Pro IT guys.

Hey Rob - it was great to meet you. Your car has best paint scheme going. "To enslave and Punish" - you just left out the word "competition". :-)
