About twenty years ago, then SCCA President Nick Craw packed up his ITS Datsun 240Z and set out on his famous Beat the Boss tour. His objective was to travel to various major events sponsored by SCCA and challenge the best of the local racers on their home turf. Nick gave as good as he got, sometimes winning and sometimes being put down by the local hotshoes .... but always putting on a good show.

In 2010 we are seeing a revival of the tradition. In a slight reversal of theme, New Jersey Motorsports Park Managing Partner Lee Brahin and NJMP Director of Motorsports Activities Joe Volpe have entered this month's The Devil in the Dark 12 Hour Endurance Race on the exciting Thunderbolt Course of NJMP. The are challenging the best of SCCA endurance drivers to come into their house and race them. We are calling this the Beat the Bosses Marathon.

Regardless of whether you are part of an experienced endurance team or a typical sprint racer, The Devil in the Dark presents a real experience and real value ... and the opportunity to get the best of the home team. Endurance racers have the opportunity to compete in one of the Big 3 endurance races in the East. Sprint racers can team up for their initial endurance race or experience a whole season's worth of test time. Come one, come all.

Are you ready for The Devil? Can you Beat the Bosses?

Terry,
Since endurance racing is a team effort, who's their crew? And do they think they can beat the "All Girl Fuel Crew" of Radial Motorsports?

Lee never does things half way (witness NJMP itself). K-Hill Motorsports is supporting their effort and recruiting co-drivers.

It's not going to be easy to Best the Bosses
