ok...after some terrific advice :) I opened a vimeo account so that I can upload HD video, and I am very happy with the results!
It was shot in 720p/60fps, and uploaded as a DivX avi at 720p/30fps at 6000kbits/sec....take a look, the resolution for web video is great!

Here is my video from Sunday's STU race, the ITS race video is being processed now and I'll post the link Wed or Thu when it's ready.

http://vimeo.com/11470822

Highlights:

New pavement extending the turn in at 6 (very off camber)

New pavement extending the track out of 6 (off camber)

Lap 5 ... me using all the new track out, and MORE!!

Lap 14 ... exit of turn 2, passing Paul Perry (#77 Miata Red) simultaneously on both sides (Glenn #4 right, Bob #82 left)...whew!

hmmm.... this may have been an expensive bit of advice...so I get home to my home computer, and playback of the HD video is
all choppy...the connection is fast enough....I guess now I need to buy a new PC ...

anyways...if the vimeo HD is choppy, click on the "HD on" button on the screen ... it will toggle to "HD off" and you'll be able to watch.

Seabee....here is the video setup :)

Greg and I were talking about whether the extra paving was "usable" even though it's off camber. I didn't get many laps on it so I can't say but I "think" you can at least take a wider turn in and have a little more confidence in running out of pavement on track out.

Our cars have minimal power and taking the turn wider on 6 and tracking out to the new pavement seemed to work for us better. kept our momentum up.

Great video Glenn - what were the times?

Quality is outstanding

in both races the times all sucked .... it was really hot >>90F airtemp, the track
was slick, everyone was on crappy tires, Mercury was in retrograde, etc etc etc...
No ITB cars were in the 1:19s, No ITR or ITS cars were in the 1:15s

CONGRATS to Greg Amy with the first 2010 NERRC STU win in the newly built Integra!

Both my STU and ITS race videos are up now:

http://vimeo.com/lawtonglenn

The ITS video was edited down by half to take out most of the boring bits,
but I did get a nice love tap from Tyler Munroe (ITR # 03 BMW) in lap 10 exiting
the bowl...with a close shave mirror scrape pass on the front straight in
lap 11 ... Thanks Tyler! :D

Please remember to click the "HD on" button onscreen if your PC (like mine at home)
is too old and decrepit to produce smooth video...it will toggle to "HD off" and
become a little less sharp, but will become watchable

video quality is quite good. My iMac quad core and cable connection had no issues playing it. perhaps a better vid car would help with the playback?

Glen! To much fun watching you and Bob race - no work getting done here at Realogy!

My tires were roasted from the Pro IT up at the NHMS - all blued around the shoulders which urban legend has it means they are now crap despite having plenty of tread...durometer still reads OK though.

all we brought to NH last weekend were 16 remnants of last year's sets of Hankooks...
it was funny, we were like..."well, let's try that one on the front right, and move the right rear
from your car to the front right of mine....no...let's try..."

anyways, I learned a lesson about mixing tires :)...between the second qualifyer and the STU race
I decided that since I couldn't get up the hill without the ass coming out, I'd buy
two new R6s from the Hoosier guy, and put them on the rear...MISTAKE

Two sticky tires on rear and two slippery ones on front = poster child for understeer
hence the off course excursion at the exit of the bowl in the STU race...

Fot the ITS race I moved the two new tires to the right side, with two old ones on the left,
and it worked MUCH better.....I guess that's why the good ole boys change em a side at a time

Bob was counting on the rain starting, and didn't buy tires, so he was all slippy and slidey all day...
We have new sets ready for the NHMS triple at the beginning of June, and we have
officially trashed all our old tires...too dangerous!

have fun at Lime Rock you guys!!
