BEST SCHOOL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Between the track time on the previous test day and the constant on track schooling, by Saturday afternoon I was not really disappointed when my my car an issue and I could not finish a session. I was beat. Weather great, Instructors even better. The seat time during this event was worth every penny because not only were we driving but actually doing it correctly. Seat time without good instruction just seems to reinforce bad habits. After you get good instruction it is all about seat time but you have to know what to do or your are not going to improve.
BTW I will admit to all the my sister #83 kicked my butt. But I will get her back at LRP.
Thanks to tGA, Matt K. Jeff and all the instructors.

I AM SUCH A DUMB A??.
Test day on Thursday was an experience. We received one on one coaching from
Andy B. for the entire day. What a huge advantage we had going into the school/ race weekend. Anyone needing help would be highly advised to seek out Andy. We got turn by turn help rather than trynig to learn the whole track at once. Breaking the track down this way makes it much easier to understand.
Sorry I forgot to mention Andy previously as he was the start of a great weekend.
Thanks again Andy.
PS Dont forget lunch at LRP.

Looks like the only down side was getting tapped in the side by the bonehead in the RX7,man that guy needs to go to school himself and learn to shift smoother so the rear end dosent slap any other cars.

We didnt see any damage on either car thou, did you? Great job this weekend and go good in the future.

I am happy to show anyone how I do it. There may be faster ways around but I will at least give my rationale for the why's and the where's. For the record, we chopped 4 seconds off your time during the day but hitting the wall between 9 and 10 'Crazy Joe style' was not my idea. LOL

Just a couple of war wounds, nothing major. Not like when the SPO hit me in T3 on test day. Dumb shi#####.

See the thing is that as you go faster and the turns are clicking away your confidence builds, then you go over board and realty comes back!!!!! Nothing major happened other than I now know how tough it is to try and take turn 10 with 1 hand on the wheel and the other hand trying to hold the transmission in 3rd so it doesnt pop out again. Plagued me all weekend. I finally had to put it in 4th between 8 and 9 then back into 3rd between 10 and 11. Lost lots of time there every lap.
Instructors were more fun to race this time than last. We could actually race rather than be intimidated by the "Real Race Car Drivers" Sometimes they got a little aggressive but it made the race all that much more fun.

By the way there is nothing " funner " than blowing by a 911 on T1 and T2 with an Escort. Did it a couple of times and so did #83.:happy204:

Denise did great, moved from 12th on the grid to finish 7th running in the 1:20's to 1:21. I had a wire come off the distributer and lost a couple of laps in addition to my tranny issues but my times were in the low 1:22's. Not the best but better.

.

good job Dan!! ...and note that those times were on a slow, hot track...air temp was well over 90F Sunday afternoon...

No ITB cars were in the 19s, and no ITS cars in the 15s...so figure the track was 1.0 - 1.5 sec off best conditions

Thanks Glenn, Racing is much more fun when you are faster than before.
Good info about track conditions.
