Hi all,
Getting back into IT with my son driving this time. Picked up a set of RA1's for his drivers school. Any idea on cold and hot tire pressures? I could use my old notes but I'd like to see if anything has changed. Car is a 86 Honda CRX Si, ITB 205/55-14's

30lb is a good start

38-40 hot should be good.
Keep in mind that at the start of a school or in the damp the tires will not heat up as much so you may want to start at like 32 ft and 34 rr. As the driving gets more agressive, just manage to the hot temps after the car comes off track. Watch for one corner or side to get warmer and more pressure than the others due to the particular track or the car. Note that and keep in mind for when you rotate tires or go out for the first time in the morning.

Thanks all. A little different than my GTL car and slicks. My notes confirm what everybody said.

I ran them much lower - 23-24F, 18-19R. But they were a real handful until temps came up.

Keep it simple in this case.

An 8 time MARRS champ I know believes that 38 lb. hot is golden on his Miata. Start with 31 on the tire generally on outside of the turns and 32 on the other side.
