All, I just received this e-mail from Summit Point Raceway.
So sad..........
Chuck

"Folks,

I have the sad duty to tell you that Bill Scott died a few hours ago.

He had been very ill since Thanksgiving and, despite a brief improvement several days ago, finally succumbed.

His strength of character kept him alive for a number of years.

No details about a funeral or memorial service have been announced yet.

Bill Reichardt"

Too bad, Bill was a character. I first met him was in 1975 when I took his driving school. I remember during class he asked my girlfriend (later to be my wife) who was sitting in the pits watching school if he could borrow her 1974 Chevelle to take us students around the track. She stood there in agony while he 4 wheel drifted up on to the front straight with 4 of us students packed into her nice new car, one handing the wheel while pointing out the apex to us newbes........

Bill was quite the lady watcher. I remember him commenting on one very slender young lady saying "The trouble with skinny women is they have sharp knees, and elbows...."

He will be missed...
