The Jersey Racing Board (Northern New Jersey and South Jersey Regions) and New Jersey Motorsports Park have reached an agreement to conduct The Devil in the Dark 12 Hour endurance race on NJMP's Thunderbolt Circuit. The initial race under this agreement will be held on Saturday, 19 June 2010 and run from noon to midnight. Plans are underway to hold a family friendly spectator event at the track during the race with live entertainment, food and beverages.
This race is intended to replace the traditional 12 Hours at the Point race which has not been renewed by the Washington DC Region. It is anticipated that the schedule and rules will be very similar to the Summit Point events. The entry package will be posted on the DLB online registration system ( www.dlbracing.com (http://www.dlbracing.com/) ) by the end of the year. Registration will open in early spring 2010.
