I found this on the NER website posted by Jerry. I was wondering if any other dates have been confirmed and/or when they are finalized?

I know several people on this site are involved and have been involved in helping identify opportunities to improve the NARRC series, Pro-IT series, and the overall schedule here in the Northeast.

Track dates are confirmed, as submitted to NeDiv for final approval.
April 10&11 Double National NHMS
April 30& May 1 Drivers school NHMS
May 2 Regional NHMS
June 5&6 Regional NHMS
June 18 Drivers school LRP
June 19 Regional LRP
July 10&11 Regional NHMS
August 21&22 Regional NHMS
September 11&12 Regional NHMS

2010 scheduling will be at the Mini-Con out in Pittsburgh this weekend. Tonight at 9PM is the NeSCCA Scheduling meeting. Look for schedules to be 'firm' after that. Saturday is more meetinfgs. Sunday morning is the NeSCCA meeting as well.

In March is the NeSCCA Round Table, this year in Northern New Jersey, in Morristown area (Rt 80 / Rt 287 junction). March 12-14 for training and meetings. The NARRC awards should be handled here if not sooner.

Northern New Jersey will also have our region party March 13th. The NJRRS awards will be done here.

TeamDI Pro IT will see where we fit and ask the associated regions if they want Pro IT as a support race. Bob will do that in a few weeks I'm sure.

Stephen and All,
I'm just back from a long drive to Pittsburgh, I need to get some work done.
I will try to get the NARRC, NERRC and Nediv National schedules posted tonight.

Pay attention to that Double National date at NHMS, kids. I'm soon to announce a big push to get a metric s**t-ton of IT racers qualified to run in STU at the SCCA Runoffs at Road America. Awesome track, awesome competitors, and the minimum to qualify is only starting four National events and finishing three...

More details to follow. - GA

Sure Greg, now you tell me!
Nediv councle voted down ALL Double National in 2010.
Of course 7 of 8 regions had requested them!

That's too bad....hey, bark at Topeka, they're the ones making all these last-minute changes. If we get interest from IT/SSM/etc racers going to the Runoffs as STU cars - there's a ground swell right now interested in exactly that, kinda an IT trifecta of ARRC at Road Atlanta, IT Fest at Mid-Ohio, and Runoffs at Road America - don't be surprised to find that the National events might actually be -- God forbid!!!! - profitable...

Greg, the rules changed last year, you must finish 4 nationals to qualify for the runoffs. You can count 7 overall and 3 out of your division. You must also finish in the top 10 in your division.

How about non-NARRC and non-NER regionals?

Still two other dates at the Glen? Fun One and Last Chance?

MARRS series posted yet?

Regionals at Nelson and Beaverrun?

Other SJR/NNJR NJMP events?

To get all the tentative dates we need to find someone that was in Pittsburgh at the scheduling meeting?

But remember the schedule isn't 'official' until the NeSCCA Scheduling Rep
Donna McDonough has it published to the NeSCCA site and delivers it to SCCA. I think that is still weeks away.

What does veryone feel about the NARRC schedule and changes for the 2010 season?
Pro IT schdule is in the works.

On a semi-related note, did run groups get settled enough for folks to be taking "reservations" for number?

as far as I've heard the run groups did not change for the 2010 NARRC season.

From what was planned but not sure if approved, Steel cities was going to have a restricted regional at Beaverun in conjunction with the national at the beginning of August. The weekend of September 25th steel cities was trying to get approved a quad regional. Yes sir 4 different sanction #'s in 2 days. 2 regionals per day.

Will NER be providing discount coupons for snow tires for the April event? April 10-11 in NH

In these tough financial times, NEDIV abandons its only traditional Double when most regions want
a Double at each track? :017:

I know most guys here run Regionals, but this impacts people wanting to run IT cars in STU.....4 travel costs to Nats

The problem was all regions wanted doubles.
It would not be fair if only some got them.
If 3 regions got doubles who would go to singles?
As far as April at NHMS, it's been ok to run a regional then but we can't run a National?
Bring Snows and maybe you will win! ;)

Jerry,
Thanks for your response, I do understand. But I do wish some creative thinking would have allowed a couple of double events. Revenue sharing could be considered; a double early or in the middle only (obviously all doubles would not work). NER should consider a low entry fee (with an early entry deadline) as it will take quite an incentive to get cars out of hibernation for early April in NH--for anyone south of NYC, the tow to VIR the following weekend will look very inviting... I hope to go to NHIS in April, but depends on car and competition--winning a 1 car class there a few years ago sucked--doing same with snowshoes on won't get me out of Connecticut...
All the best,
LD71 [:D]

The NARRC looks great this year!!! Good job to that group for putting together a good schedule! Put the Pro-IT at some other events and we will have a good spread of successfuul events in the Northeast!

Stephen, I think we need to put the 12hr at NJMP on our schedule!

Have they ever checked for heaters in impound?

off-topic....I've been looking for my ballot for BOD, wanted to vote Dickita....suddenly realized I made Buccaneer primary last year for points...I'll probably send in NEDiv vote anyway...:happy204:

Because the race was uncontested the procedure is to mail out just one ballot. That has been done and I won by one vote. First Meeting is a face to face in Topeka first weekend in January.

Dick,
I just saw the release on SCCA.com, the election is official! BTW, this was part of the release:
New board members will join outgoing members on Dec. 3 – 5, for a Board of Directors meeting in Topeka, Kan., at the SCCA National Office. New members will assume their full duties in 2010.

Don't miss that December trip, nothing like a holiday trip to beautiful downtown Topeka! I knew there were great perks to that BOD job!

I have to agree with Larry in that I just don't think anyone will show up that early for a National. I race a few Nationals a year and I have been at NHMS for the early May event and we have always had a very small field. I just don't see how moving it to early April will help.
