gear questions

Ther was a thread in the past on buying used gears for a first gen RX7. I thought it was in regards to a Suzuki or Geo front diff ring and pinion. 4.77 maybe. Does anybody have info on gear sets for this car or is Mazda comp still the only source?

The 94-02 Kia sportage front diff has 4.78 gears. The Mazda b2600 front diff uses 4.44 ratio. These are interchangeable with the 94+ miata. Make sure you use good gear oil and change after every event. These are street gears and kinda fragile. Good luck.

That is so cool... Im hittin the junk yards monday. Look at the number and options available for U-Pick it peaple. 25 bucks and all you can carry thru the gate. We are there.:cool:

The article states that the rx-8 4.44 gear is the same. Unfortunately it isn't. :(
