Yep,

That's right! The date of July 30th-Aug 1st has been set for the 2010 I.T.SPEC*tacular. Thanks to TrueSports (Mid Ohio) for the quick response in setting the date so everyone can get their time off into work for next year.

Stay tuned for more details after the ARRC.

Cool. We'll make it part of the GTA National Tour as well. And if I recall correctly, won't 2010 be a "with chicane" year?

And for your next challenge can we please get the PTB to start the races from the back straight? :)

Cool. We are talking about take 2 for us. Maybe even get really silly and show up with all 3 cars...A, B, and C.
(watch, they'll all run together:cool: )
Hopefully, we got all of our bad juju out of the way this year.
Club course is the chicane, right?

Good point Butch. I'd like to see all SCCA starts on the back straight. I beleive this is the safest.

Yes. And believe it or not it officially adds .12 to the track so instead of 2.28 miles it will be 2.4 miles in length. :)

Todd! Please don't banish the starters to the back woods of Mid-Ohio!!!!!! I spent years in the uninhabitated area of Mid-Ohio at Sound Control, and the back straight starter's stand is even farther out in the woods. Slightly tongue in cheek, but it is a consideration. Especially since they rotate to the Pit Out position, and/or would have to start the race, and then drive back to the finish line for the end of the race.

I appreciate your concern. The pro start stand is occupied by corner workers on all weekends now so its not much of a banishment.

I will do everything in my power to be there in 2010, and hope to bring as many CenDiv IT racers along as I can. I know Rich had a good time in ITS this year, and have a few ITB guys pretty interested in making the trip, and I really want to convince a relatively prolific MidDiv B guy to make the trip.

Yeah, cause I think I know of at least 3 other ITA cars that will come from the WDCR on top of us 4 :D

CenDiv just got their schedule out today. The date is clear. Doubles at Road America the weekend before and after. Whew! :023:

SEDiv. is clear.

Not sure about NEDiv. and MidDiv., MARRS or Waterford Hills yet.

Here's what NEDiv's got in the general vicinity.

Glen Region has a regional at Watkins Glen the week before (July 24/25)
Steel Cities has a National/Restricted Regional @ BeaveRun that same weekend.
MARRS is at Summit the following week (Aug.7/8).

Barring the issues that have kept me away the past two years, I plan on being there (and I'm pretty sure I'm included in Spanky's count).

Aright - link please?? Might I find it on Apexspeed or the like?

Waterford probably won't be approved and posted till January... though it usually follows a pretty standard format, really two likely options...

Yeah that is going to be a lot of work for a month! I may end up having to skip some CenDiv action to get there.

That can't be right. Road America is going from having three Nationals prior to the Runoffs to just one? But Blackhawk has five Nationals? Uhm.......wat?

So the only other national at Road America this year other than the June Sprints is now in May, AND they managed to stack that one national on the same weekend as the only Mid-Ohio National. I know I'm not supposed to bitch about scheduling as it's volunteers who put all of this stuff together, but come on! That's just freaking rediculous.

I know you have nothing to do with this Todd so please don't take it that way.

Kevin - if you are looking for track time in the F car, there are a lot of race days at RA next year. Some of them happen to be regionals. You can still run them, you just won't be able to run ITA as well. Might be a good excuse to get pops in the A car...

Believe me I'm not. The report is that RA was a real pain to work with this year. I think having the Sprints and Run-Offs may have caused some head swelling.
