The schedule change to add a one day double regional at Nelson on Aug 23 slipped by me.

I don't see supps, info or schedule anywhere. Anyone have an idea how it works to have a one day double regional "Open to all Regional Classes"? Do they just run two groups, open and closed wheel? :)

I guess it's a double regional points the day after the 12 hours. Something like you pick a number out of a hat and that's your starting position for the qualifying race. Then the finishing position from the qual race is your starting position for the race. Not sure if that is exactly how it works.

That's how I understood it would work.

I guess the term Double Regional confused me. I was thinking it was Qual-Race Qual-Race all in one day. So it really works more like a single regional but two races, no qualifying.

It's a long tow but...we could go up early and watch some of the 12 hour on Sat. Would make a fun weekend.

It would be nice to see a schedule though...or supps.

Any price tag on this 1 day super extravaganza yet. I would hope somewhere in the high $100 to low $200 bracket. Considering a Nelson funday will only set you back $120:o

If I can get mine back together and I still have tires left after the IT Festival I should be there. Then Jay and I can finish what we started in May.

MauriceI have some 13x5.5's you can run. Also, some bent RA's if you want to try and salvage. I was going to use them as hose racks.

Evil VW????? To which car are you refering??? Surely someone from the dark side can not refer to a VW as evil. And since you are from the dark side I have to overlook that remark.

And while I have great respect for Ford products, my main goal is to finally have some parity with a certain yellow car. He's been on top of the local ITC hill for a long time ( and he deserves it).

Anything has to be better than the 5 yearold Toyos ive been running the past two years. The "evil rabbit" you refer to should be able to fit up to 205 - 13's but prefers 195's.

I'm planning on bringing a tow rope with me to hook on to either Jon, Jay, or Bill so that I can stay close enough to learn something from you fast guys.

Bring a ratchet instead and with a couple of pulls you can gain on them.
