16v Rebuild

Anyone know what i should figure for a 1.8 16v rebuild? I have a complete motor and need to tare it down and bore it. How much? :shrug:

James - if you haven't already, start collecting spares. A well used but rebuildable 16v should be available for $100 or less - look for one that was removed for a VR6 swap and take EVERYTHING that the seller doesn't want.

It's easier to send your spare engine to the builder than to give them your ONLY engine.

Ok. I have a guy that i have been helping around his shop and he has actually been giving me parts. But I am always looking around for spares.
