I'm looking for someone to take my spot at the track day the day before the SFR double regional at Laguna Seca.

I'm signed up in one of the two 'A' (open passing) groups. Seven 20-minute sessions, maximum 20 cars per group.

I paid the standard $310 entry fee; I'd like some/most of that back, but I'll take what I can get, so please make me an offer! Please PM me if you're interested.

I was really looking forward to this and the Double event, but unfortunately it looks like something didn't go right with my new engine build and I've got to tear it apart all over again. :(

Tam.

Bad news about your engine.

Why don't you post your request on Southern California's Calclubs forum?

Viet, is this just for Miata's or can any body run?

What is the sound requirement?

Tim, the details are here: http://www.percydesign2.com/lagunaseca/

It says "Your Miata (or OTM)". It took me a bit of Googling to find that "OTM" means "Other Than Miata". So pretty much anything goes, with the usual requirements for convertibles, and nothing too extreme I'm guessing (no open-wheel cars etc.).

The page furthermore states the sound limit for the event is 92dB (as measured by the track's sound monitoring).

Let me know if you're interested in taking my spot. Thanks!

I wish I could... sounds like fun but:

The race car's in pices

The 92dB sound means a street exhaust

My street Z3 is an mid '97 early pre-roll hoops, it does have a roll structure in the windshield frame, but no one believes me. They want to see the useless hoops behind the seat:shrug:

Finally, I can't take this Friday off...

Good Luck, maybe you should take John's advice and post it here: http://www.calclub.com/forums/index.php

No sense letting $310 go to waste I guess... I'll do a few laps in the 'Speed 3 tomorrow. I flushed the brakes tonight and checked the pads--still around ~70% after 15k miles on the odometer, wow. Time to stop babying the new car. :D
