Where do you guys have your timing set?
2nd gen S5 with stock ECU.

do you have a mazdacomp crank pulley ? mark yours at 28 degrees.thats what we set ours with the stock comp.works well for us. hope that helps. ralph

Full load. You want to see 25+ at WOT from 5000 rpm and up. What that corresponds to at idle is difficult to say.

oh ok i thought so but wasnt sure so pretty much i would have to do this while on a dyno

I'm going to say don't do this because it's dangerous working around a car strapped on a dyno when it's at full load, but I'll actually shoot the timing while the car is loaded on the dyno. This way you know for sure what you're getting. Anything else is just guessing. Manipulate the CAS until you get what makes best power and lock it down.

Factory is a good place to start. The S5 factory timing is fairly close to optimal.
