Just want to make sure folks know about the racing schedule and IT7 class that we have for the SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Racing Series. You are invited to join us at any of the SCCA MARRS Series events. The schedule is shown below:
April 18-19 - Summit Point
May 9-10 - VIR
May 30-31 - Summit Point
June 27-29 - Summit Point
July 18-19 - NJMP Thunderbolt
August 8-9 - Summit Point
August 22-23 - NJMP Lightning
September 5-7 - Summit Point Labor Day
October 10-11 - Summit Point
VIR and NJMP formats to be confirmed they may be double events. The MARRS format will include a double race format for one price in 2009 on all weekends. There will be a sprint race Satruda afternoon and a longer race Sunday. See contact details below for more information.
Any ITA prepped RX7 is legal for the WDCR IT7 class We do not have a tire rule.
For Summit Point events we have:
Reserved paddock space for the IT7 class No hassle with finding a good spot, it is already reserved for you.
Class Meals The IT7 class typically has a group dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday and Sunday each race weekend. The region has a free catered meal (and beer) Saturday night.
Good Run Grouping IT7 cars will typically sit on the run group pole We are grouped with ITB and ITC.
Arrive and Drive If you do not want to tow, there are Arrive and Drive IT7 programs available. Drop me an email and I will hook you up with a good contact for a rental ride.
Typically 5 to 8 IT7's runing on any given weekend - You should have someone to race with in class.
Summit Point Details
Repaved in 2008 The track is much smoother and faster.
Suited to an IT7 Good setups for Summit are 4.88s with short tires (Hankooks or Hoosiers) or 5.12s with Toyos.
