For those of you who have raced at Mid-Ohio over the years and appreciated the great information you have received from those good people at the flag stations, please know that one half of the team who has administered the Lake Erie Communications group passed away this morning.
Susie Beal suffered a massive heart attack a week or so ago and has been fighting to recover since. The worker community has been kept aware of her progress on a daily basis but the severity of her condition was more than she could recover from. The following is the text of the message sent by Helga, the communicator for the safety net at Mid-Ohio:
It is with a very sad heart that I am writing this email to let everyone know that
Susie Beal passed away this morning at 11:25.
On behalf of the Beal Family, thank you all for the support and prayers you
provided during this difficult time.
No arrangements have been made at this time. We will send them out when
they become available.
