ITS miata ride height???

I maybe wrong but I am pretty sure the height has to be 5"........ what are people measuring from??? My real question is about the wimpy pinch weld that is bent on many miatas........ or just measure above the weld? Almost all spec miatas are well under 5"..but cross over all the time.

The rules say the lowest point of the rocker panels, not including the pinch weld.
