Announcing Team OGRE will be competing in SEDIV and SARRC series for 2009. Current plans will see Team OGRE members driving an ITS 240Z and an ITA CRX making a run for the fun in '09

If you would like to join this team, please review the rules listed below.

Keep your eyes on your rear view mirror for an OGRE vehicle racing at your track in '09

Team OGRE membership requirements:

Must have the innate ability to think, act, eat and drink like an old fart.
Must be a TVR member
Must have participated as TVR member in one of the following events:
Autox driver, Autox worker, Road race driver, Road race worker, Rallyx driver, Rallyx worker, Time trial driver, Time trial worker, Autox wannabe worker or driver, Road race wannabe worker or driver, Time trial wannabe worker or driver, Rallyx wannabe worker or driver, or have attended at least one meeting of the Tennessee Valley Region of the Sports Car club of America.

Must have spent at least one night at the race track, hillclimb, rallyx or autox site.
Bonus points for sleeping in a tent, on the ground, or in the garage area. Attending a single event (including meetings) held while raining is a legal substitution for this requirement.

Membership is by invitation only, to receive an invitation just ask an old fart at a TVR meeting or event. They will always be able to tell you where to go!

Team OGRE rules and regulations:

1. There are no formal rules other than those listed in the GCR Section X19, paragraph C-5, subsection DSR, line 996, near part RX8, under the heading of alternative fuel sources.
2. There are no dues, however any member of Team OGRE may ask for a loan from another member, at any time, for the purchase of a race car, parts, trailers, food, beverages, or airline tickets. The member receiving such a request shall make every attempt to fulfill the request at the earliest possible time. Answering such a request with “when hell freezes over” is an appropriate response.
3. All members shall at all times attempt to have as much fun as possible while attending a Race, Rallyx, Autox, Time trial, or other SCCA event. Attempts at being overly competitive could result in being expelled from Team OGRE and the former member will be required to attend RIF(racing is fun), Lame 6 Sigmoid remedial training.
4. All activities at the track follow the VEGAS rules. You know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Two states or three rivers also applies when on a road trip.

Team OGRE activities, meetings, etc.

1. There will be no meetings
2. There will be no T-shirts (unless you buy your own)
3. There will be no newsletters. It costs too damn much for the large type print we need to read those things anyway.
4. All members are expected to help one another while at the track or event site. In short, if your buddy needs help, it is permitted to stand alongside of their broken race car and provide unsolicited advice. It works better when you bring them a beer while providing advice. You may also hold the flashlight for them while drinking your beer and watching them work.

If you see any membership requirements that need to be amended to allow you to join Team OGRE, then simply reply to this post and they will be included.

NutDriver.org would like to see the rules ammended to include all members of regions in the SEDiv. Would like to offer bonuses for corner workers who work the full weekend where the average temperature is below 40* or over 95*, where the rainfall is more than 1", and/or you have to run more than 50 yds with a 10#er only to find you don't need it. Knowing hand signals that are outside of or unacceptable for publishing in the GCR is a bonus as well.

Would like to automatically include all Team OGRE members as members of NutDriver.org
