Spec Neon rules state Shadow front suspension components can be used for reliability, what componenents do you used from a Shadow sre used for this swap?
Thanks, Digger

The reference is primairly for the front knuckle assembly. The neons are well known for the front hubs failing and the recomendation is to replace the bearings and hub after every 10 hours of time on track. When Waterford hills put together the spec neon rules they tried to beef up the reliability of the cars by making the shadow knuckles legal. Note that this change is NOT legal for SSC or IT so if you plan to race outside of SN you'll have to swap back.

Others on here probably know the details of the swap better and what modifications must be made to get the knuckles to fit.

So, Spec Neon lives on after NASA dropped it? Good to hear!

Spec Neon definitely lives on at Waterford Hills. We started the class there and intend to continue it as long as people are racing.

As far as the Shadow front knuckles - don't bother. That setup will not allow for any camber adjustment, unless you have camber plates. Camber plates are not legal in Spec Neon and the shadow knuckle assemblies are not legal in ITA.

Just use the ACR hubs and check your bearings regularly and replace as nec.
