So I'm looking for ideas for front tow hooks.

So thoughts and pictures would be helpful.

Thanks

I use "climers loops" just to play with people.:017: The yellow three inch wide tie down web material bolted to the frame with a 3 inch square x 1/8 inch thick steel with round bottom corners (so as not to start a rip in the yellow web material) steel makes a nice loop & is light. Also you can generally kind of visually hide the loope.

Trip to Home Depot. Bought a couple of feet of 1/4” cable and a few clamps. Made a loop with the cable through the OE tow hook. Clamped it. Wrapped in very cool yellow electrical tape. Cost about $3 each.

And it works…towed me off LRP with it.

Cruise some BMW and Porsche marque sites. They will have good expensive ones.

I prefer making my own, but not out of nylon straps.

Amaizingly never used it... the car always seems to make it home, although sometimes a bit slower than hoped.

Use big knarly rusty gross tetnus infested chain and a 1/2 bolt, wrap around frt or rear bumper strut and yank away. Can usually find chain at most road construction sites or anywhere there is a tractor sittin around The bolt you may have to buy at the local "Do It Best" store.:D. Or an old tow strap will work to just not as much of a conversation piece.

I use these wrapped through the OEM tow hook and then wrapped with a rubber band so it doesnt swing around and look like soemthing is loose.

Got two bright yellow ones and even received a compliment from tow truck, for having a nice big loop.
