I just saw online that Sue Moroso has sold Moroso Motorsport Park to three investors.
You can read more here:

and the track website here:

If the figures that were registered with the county are accurate, they got that place dirt cheap.

The road course design and photos have been updated since I last checked. It looks like it will be pretty impressive once completed. I'm certain I'll be back there racing now. Thanks for the update.

I wonder if the new owners are going to be finicaially responsible for the finishing on the road course reconstruction? has anybody seen it in person? What exactly has changed thus far?

Best thing to do is go to www.morosomotorsportspark.com (http://www.morosomotorsportspark.com) and check out the consrtuction photos they have in their photo section. They have a new coursemap on the site, but the link to it wouldn't work for me today. I did find the following quote interesting from one of their press releases:

"• A newly reconfigured 40 foot wide, 2-mile Road Course, adhering to the highest FIA safety standards, and featuring several areas of paved run-off. Soft wall barriers to compliment the tire barriers and concrete walls. Road Course enhanced with the addition of lights to allow for night testing as well as 24-hour around the course events."

I'd love to see the 24 hr race return to Moroso.

Check out the discussion on the Prodcar forum, the track held an "Open House" this past weekend for the Florida Region BOD and some invited guests to see the track.

Yes, they age going to finish the road course as the new owners are sports car people.

From the pics and the dicusssion I had over there. It looks like there will be elevation changes, banked corners, and a real long back straightaway

:happy204:Think of the track from the old 12 to turn 2 and you have the new back straight. There is an area that could have a "bus stop" in it but we have decided to start without it.

Yes, there is banking and great runoff areas.

on the banked corners how did they incorporate run off? a large hill? what will keep them from pulling a dukes of hazard manauver?

There will be approx. 60 ft of paved runoff after 40 ft of track before you hit the foam walls. There is a concrete wall behind the foam. I am not sure, but there may also be tires. Looks like there should enough area to recover/stop.:eclipsee_steering:
