I spent an hour at the hot rod shop today trying to get a fitting like the one below. I have the fitting right now in -10AN 90 degree to 18x1.5mm and it's marked "Earls". The fitting I have is failing and starting to leak for some reason. Unfortunately the only ones in Earls catalog now are AN to AN and AN to NPT. This fitting is used on the line going into a 2nd Gen RX7 oil cooler. Numerous calls to Earls tech line and it does nothing but ring and then they get tired of hearing the phone ring and just hang up without answering.

Any idea where to get this without buying a new oil cooler hose set?

Mark,

I don't use those fittings on mine. Go with an adapter (metric to AN) and use a standard 90 degree hose end. If you have the room, the radius on the standard end is better for flow. They're cheaper, and easier to obtain a replacement (as you seeing right now).

Have always had good success with these. And you can use an aluminum crush washer for added measure if you like.

Thanks, we had found this option at the shop today and it is the backup plan. I was trying to do it with one fitting like original rather than two.

Nothing like paying $41 for 2 fittings just to connect a hose to the oil cooler!

Darin told me this was an Earls European fitting and that's why it's not found in the US catalog. Being a European fitting it's not stocked here so is harder to get (but he could get me an equivalent), I'm just going to go with the adapter and be done with this. Thanks for the help.

Yes, thanks. I should have checked there. I already ordered the adapter to make it work. I should have checked Mazdatrix!

My Accusump is plumbed with radius 90 degree fittings just not the oil cooler. Fortunately oil temps have never been any issue.
