Ok July Sprints coming up July 25-26 & 27. Come see the new media center although it looks very similar to a personal care home but since I am now officially in the medicare System maybe i can book a corner room  Some Info that may help. Friday is a test day WGI gates open 6:00 am. NOW if you don't want to run the test Day you can register for the event Friday Morning from 6am to 10am. This will let you get into the track and pick your favorite paddock space OR if you have rented a garage you can get parked and car into garage! Spend the rest of the day site seeing wine tour etc. If you go to Glen Region website you can book a wine tour for Saturday or an evening dinner cruise. :).. Now if you are coming across Rte 17/86 from east to west and need fuel at Exit 60 you can get off drop down into PA About 2 miles and current price on Gas is 4.15 and Diesel is 4.79. sometimes they get in a little battle and it cuts the price. Both stations are minimarts Kmart and walmart nearby. Easy on and off We even have a new Hampton Inn (Sayre PA) indoor pool. Local family run resturants plus the usual fast food joints. On the way to watkins Glen to work tech for national this past weekend the current diesel prices in NY are 5.09 to 5.29 so a 2 mile off the road can pay especially if you've got a couple of 250 gal tanks to fill. We will be in garage 2B stop by and say hello!! T weaver :eclipsee_steering:

Tom (or anyone who has run up 81 from Scranton),

Last year it was painful getting stuck in endless/mindless highway construction in PA. Is this still going on as PADOT shows?

Is the workaround coming from NYC ro rake rt 17?

TIA.

Dave, I drove to The Glen last month for the IndyCar weekend. I-84 to I-81 was completely painless...I used to tow across Rt 17 off I-84 (15 miles shorter) but with the hills and lower speed limits (and troopers) on Rt 17 I made better time driving through Scranton. - GA

So, Greger, it's 84west to 81 north then to 17 west and 14 north? I'll give that a crack. The hills on 17 kinda suck.

Si! I'll be towing that way from now on...

That's good news. Last year there were 4 or 5 zones on 81 northbound that were down to one lane. Each one was a new merge down to one lane, even if the zones were only a mile apart. The return trip was just as miserable.

I think for the enduro weekend I ended ditching 81 at Clark's Summit (after enduring gridlock from Scranton north) and taking 6 across until it comes back to 17 very west.

I now hold Greg completely responsible to keep the road flowing smoothly!

You have my PERSONAL GUARANTEE that traffic will flow smoothly. If it doesn't, well, I'll feel really, really bad for you...

Coming back from Pocono July Race Sunday Traffic South Bound on 81 Was Dead Stopped from damn near Gibson to Northeast extension of the Pike. From Pocono we take NE Turnpike nothh to 81 North to 17/86 east and our home exit 60. North on 81 there are a couple of bridges that are one lane but moved pretty quickly. On 81 norh at Lenox is Binghams Family resturant great food a Shell station with diesel and luk oil station also (exit 211 I think) They do their own baked goods
