Hi, I race in NASA and not with Mazdas (yet), thinking of building a new car. Curious about whether this has been done and where it would class in IT and would it be a dumb idea or not competitive? I see the 13Bs are in ITS but couldn't find 3rd gens, and not sure how it would work to build this hybrid (non turbo, possibly carbed instead of FI). Just thinking and doing research. Thanks for any advice!

Unfortunately, since it was never offered from the factory with an N/A 13b, an N/A 13B 3rd Gen RX7 will not be classed in any of the traditional IT classes (R/S/A/B/C).

You can run it in the catch all classes, ITE/O/U, but you'll be up against some big iron.

That engine/car combo is in GT, I think. of course, it's full tube frame, etc.

In SEDiv, you could run with SPO, but that would put you with the GT1s and NASCAR-type cars as the displacement limit here is 2.5 liters. You could put the turbo(s) back on and still run it in SPO, too. Would have to go to a 12A to run SPU.
