Would anyone happen to have a dyno plot or torque curve from a 1.6L engine? We're trying to get a few things figured out on the new (to us) '77 Rabbit ITC car.

I've got a few 1.8 plots (including my own from a JH GTI engine), but it seems like the torque figures from the 1.6 are different and come on at a lower rpm. Does anyone have any input?

Much thanks in advance...

Does anyone have access/links to any of the original VW documentation for the 1.6's? I was thinking maybe I could locate a stock torque curve diagram or something like that.

For those of you that've driven both 1.8's and 1.6's, does it seem like the torque in the 1.6 comes on earlier? Pretty soon we're going to be doing some dyno testing and I want to see if there's a "baseline" that I can use.

One of the unknowns is that the car's got some sort of recurved distributor in it (with the vac blocked off) and I don't know how to optimize the timing...

From a 1979 Road & Track road test of a 1.6 Scirocco:

76 BHP @ 5,500 RPM
83 ft/lb of torque @ 3,200 RPM
