Since the middle of last year until now, I've noticed something, and I wanted to thank the ITAC for it. Right now, ITS, my class, is right on balance wise. I've started to run closer to the front and it's clear that 240zs, 260zs, 280zs, Porsche 944 and 944s, Miatas, RX7s, Integras, 325s (E30 and E36), 323s, 190Es and even TR8s have a shot at winning. Our SEDiv championship race last year had a TR8, a 323, a 240z, a 944s, a Miata and a couple of RX7s all within a 2 seconds of each other. Yesterday, the front group was a Miata, an RX7, a 280z and a TR8, again, all within less than 1.5 seconds of each other at VIR.

Good work on that guys. Dropping the Z car and Porsche weights and addressing the BMW issues seems to have really made a difference.

It certainly is refreshing to see a post like this on the IT forum. There has been a lot of work on this, and it is paying off.

That's nice, but where are the Achievas? Until I see the Oldsmobiles, and the occasional Jensen Healey atop the results sheets I won't concede anything :D

Contary Earl! Always so hard to please...lol....

Won't be a Jensen up there anytime soon...we gave up on that disaster.

Achieva, maybe....I've heard tell of a couple of fast ones.

We've had the same kind of success in ITA inthe North East.

I'm going from memory, but I think we had 5-6 different plateforms win a race, and probably 8 that had podiums??

It's all good.

We put the results sheets under the Jensen to catch the oil and parts that still fall off it. The Jensen is therefore atop the results sheets.

Ahhh...gotta love the logic of the Brits

Or is that an oxymoron?

Hey, don't forget the Prelude's too!:p Current Mid Ohio track record holder and was set to finish on the podium at the ARRC last year before a rear wheel bearing went. The drop of 150lbs really woke the car up.:happy204:

Like Jeff said, the same can be said for ITA. If I had the money to try it, I'd consider building upwards of ten different cars/chassis for ITA right now.
