Does anyone have some first hand knowledge with Carrera and Bilstein shocks/struts on an A1 chassis? I now have a set of each and can see some advantages with both, assuming that they have the correct valving for the spring rates.

I'm just looking for some experienced recommendations.

Thanks,

We like the Bilstiens. Rebuildable (so are carreras through QA1 but...),Revavleable, Able to deal with 600# springs out of the box ,and durable.

I had Bilstein's on my GTi. Worked well for me. They certainly took a beating and never had one go bad on me.

I have to echo what Jeff said. Had the Grp I race on my ITB Rabbit GTI w/ 650F / 450R and they were nice. Probably had a bit too much rebound valving in the fronts, but other than that, I liked them a lot.
