I registerd for the the National in DP. I wanted to also run the regional race, but there is no entry or info. The schedule shows it though?

Anyone know what happened?

The regional races were dropped this year due to lack of entrants in past years according to CFR. Also, the National racers always complained about the regional classes using their track time on a national weekend.

Comparing the schedule from last year to this year, by omitting
group 7 (IT cars) the national classes will gain 5 min. on their
first qual. session Saturday & a combined 15 min. warm-up
Sunday morning (instead of the 2 15 min. hardship warm-ups).
The races stay the same duration. Last year (39) IT cars registered
(according to DLB) at $230 ea. Does it make sense to
omit group 7 to allow the national classes a few extra minutes of
track time??
(Not complaining, just wondering....although I was planning on it
& would like to race!) Mike

Hi chris,
As I remember, last year the group 7 cars were running in the dark.
The entrants were pulling tape off headlights on the grid, the schedule was really too tight.
Still,,, it came as a surprise to me when I read the sups & sched, that there was no group 7.
